Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive full-cycle bookkeeping and payroll services for MNP Indigenous clients.
Take the lead in preparing and maintaining payroll and related government remittances/filings, recording of sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) transactions.
Initiate client files and support the development of budgets and administrative planning.
Maintain, monitor and reconcile GL accounts including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities and intercompany and point of sale (POS)/system uploads.
Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies, discuss with supervisor or engagement partner to develop resolutions.
Communicate with government agencies regarding information requests, assessments and payment installments.
Build collaborative relationships with clients and team members, supporting an environment of teamwork and open communication.
Skills And Experience Minimum two years of bookkeeping experience.
Experience working with desktop or cloud based accounting packages, including Quick Books, Sage, Xero, Xyntax, Adagio and/or other legacy desktop products.
Experience with Indigenous communities or enterprises is preferred.
Accounting certificate or a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting, finance or management information systems (MIS) major is considered an asset).
Experience executing accounting system implementations; conversion experience moving from desktop-based products to cloud applications is preferred.

The annual salary for this position is: $49,200-$59,000.
