The City of Prince Albert is looking to fill the permanent position of Aquatics Programmer in our Parks, Recreation and Culture Department. The Aquatics Programmer is responsible for the administration, programming, and management of the City of Prince Albert aquatics activities at the Lake Country Coop Leisure Centre (LCCLC) and Kinsmen Water Park (KWP).

Salary rates are currently under review.

Required Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent;
  • Certificate from an accredited institution related to Aquatics, Recreation or Physical Education;
  • Three (3) years related work experience
Possession of the following awards
  • Bronze Examiner, National Lifeguard - Pool
  • National Lifeguard Instructor and Examiner
  • Standard First Aid with CPR-HCP or BLS
  • Lifesaving First Aid Instructor and Examiner
  • Lifesaving Instructor
  • Swim for Life Instructor
  • Lifesaving Trainer
  • Bronze Mentor
  • National Lifeguard Mentor
  • WHMIS
  • Saskatchewan Pool Operator Course or Certified Pool Operator Training
The following awards would also be considered an asset
  • National Lifeguard Waterpark
  • Lifesaving First Aid Instructor Trainer
  • National Lifeguard Instructor Trainer
  • Lifesaving Mentor
  • WHMIS Instructor
Key Programming Duties
  • Provide direction to employees and programs within the Aquatics division work areas.
  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics Division
  • Develop, implement, promote and evaluate aquatic programs and facility usage based on the needs of user groups and the community to ensure high quality programs and services are available.
Key Administrative and Customer Service Duties
  • Assign, schedule, train, supervise and monitor the work of aquatic employees.
  • Assisting Aquatics Manager with recruitment process.
