Repair & Maintenance Tech - Lake Country Co-op @ Facilities Prince Albert

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full‑Time Facilities Repair and Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. This position will serve all locations in North Central Saskatchewan.

Reporting to the Facilities Team Leader, responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate behaviours supporting the Co‑operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles with a customer‑focused approach.
• Conduct ongoing inspections, maintenance, and repairs of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including car wash bays.
• Maintain compliance with Asset Protection and Health & Safety Standards, completing work safely and wearing appropriate PPE.
• Determine best practices for preventive measures to prolong equipment life.
• Respond to building deficiencies promptly and professionally.
• Use database and communication tools to track work, record notes, and close cases.
• Represent the brand “You’re at Home Here” through a positive, collaborative image.
• Perform all additional duties as assigned.
• Support Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.

Who You Are:

• 1–3 years of facility repair and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Well‑organized, capable of high production with minimal supervision.
• Honest, trustworthy, results‑oriented, and proud of their work.
• Able to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Flexible to respond to issues outside regular hours; weekend rotation required.
• Valid Class 5 licence with willingness to travel across the trading area, including occasional overnight trips.
• Physical capability for standing, driving, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lb, and working indoor/outdoor in all weather.
• Safety equipment, including boots, always required.
