SKI is seeking a Carpenter or Skilled Labourer for a temporary term position located in Laronge and the surround area. The role includes general carpentry duties, and scaffolding experience is considered a strong asset. The positions runs on a 10 days on/4 days off rotation, with meals and lodging provided during work shifts.

• Carry out basic construction, maintenance, or labor-related tasks.
• Understand and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and materials required.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, levels, and other carpentry-related equipment.
• Perform general carpentry tasks in support of the construction project
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Work closely with supervisors and other workers to complete tasks on time.
• Assist with general site preparation and cleanup.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in carpentry and labour-intensive roles is an asset
• Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or trade certification (an asset but not always required).
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Ability to work in a remote location and adhere to a rotational schedule
• Minimum 1 year of carpentry experience

• Exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Physical demands include lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Drug and Alcohol screening is required.
• Fall Protection Certification.
• Ladder Safety and Awarness
