• The employee is to show up dressed and prepared for work and be familiar with daily specials.
• They must be on line cooking menu items and daily specials, following Smitty’s Family Franchise standards.
• They may plan menus, determine portion sizes, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies and equipment.
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes, customizing meals to accommodate customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers and instruct them in proper methods of preparing, cooking, and handling food.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor cleanliness and operational standards in kitchen and service zones, ensuring all systems of food safety, quality, and proper cleaning of equipment are followed.
• Stock and clean their sections daily using FIFO and assist with prep or dishes when not making orders.
