Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS.

EducationSuccessful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program
Licenses- Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant
- Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants

- Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset
- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
- Valid driver's license, where required

- Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset
- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- Standby may be required.
- May provide services within Prince Albert Victoria Hospital.
