Quality Inspector - Electromechanical - Level 2
We are seeking an Electromechanical Quality Inspector (Level II) to perform in-process and final inspections of electromechanical assemblies and enclosures at the client supplier site in Price, Utah, on a 4–6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This project supports the Alligator ENG program, involving miniature data centers for a new Google product line. The inspector will work on site, performing hands‑on inspections, ensuring compliance to drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards, and receiving on‑site training from a lead inspector.
Basepay range
$32.00/hr – $36.00/hr
Key Responsibilities- Perform in-process and final inspections of electromechanical assemblies and enclosures.
- Inspect mechanical fit, alignment, and workmanship of data center cells and structures.
- Verify compliance to engineering drawings and GD&T requirements.
- Use basic inspection tools including measuring tape, levels, and digital protractor.
- Document inspection results and communicate findings to on‑site teams.
- Support inspection of larger data center cells as production ramps.
- Work closely with production and engineering personnel during inspections.
- Experience performing electromechanical or mechanical inspections in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of GD&T and ability to inspect to drawing requirements.
- Hands‑on experience using basic dimensional inspection tools.
- Ability to perform independent in-process and final inspections.
- Comfortable working on site in a production environment.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.
- Prior experience inspecting enclosures, cabinets, or data center equipment.
- Experience supporting high‑mix or new product introduction (NPI) projects.
- Familiarity with electrical‑mechanical integration environments.
This position requires access to ITAR‑controlled technical data and/or defense articles. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or U.S. lawful permanent residents (green card holders). Applicants who do not meet these criteria will not be considered.
