What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

As our Director of Nursing, you will play a central role in creating a positive, clinically strong environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing programs, policies, procedures, and departmental goals
  • Maintain up‑to‑date written nursing manuals, philosophies, and objectives
  • Coordinate nursing services with other facility departments to ensure integrated resident care
  • Lead corrective action plans when deficiencies are identified
  • Complete required clinical forms, assessments, reports, and charting accurately and timely
  • Develop, implement, and oversee the facility’s Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program
  • Support planning and execution of resident admission and discharge processes
  • Build and maintain an effective nursing services organizational structure
  • Participate in state and federal regulatory surveys, inspections, and follow‑up actions
  • Prepare and submit operational and quality reports to the Administrator
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and compassionate care

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the State of Utah
  • Minimum 1 year of successful nursing leadership experience in a SNF or geriatric healthcare setting
  • Associate degree required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong communication skills – able to read, write, speak, and understand English clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and support a nursing team
  • A genuine love and concern for the geriatric population
