They are currently seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their team on a hybrid basis (1 day per week in-office), based at their Head Office in Pretoria
. This is a senior, hands‑on role combining deep software engineering expertise with advanced AI architecture and technical leadership.

• IT Degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or related field)
• 6+ years of general Software Engineering experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership in delivering complex software projects.
• Proven portfolio or track record of building LLM-based applications or agents.

• Python (expert mandatory)
• Lang Chain (production experience);
  Lang Graph advantageous
• Vector databases:
  Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector
• RAG systems, fine‑tuning trade‑offs, inference cost & latency optimisation

• FastAPI or Flask (async design)
• Postgre
  
  SQL (advanced);

  SQL understanding
• Cloud: AWS (Bedrock, Sage Maker, Lambda, ECS) or Azure
• Docker, Kubernetes or ECS
• IaC:
  Terraform, AWS CDK, or Cloud Formation

• System design (microservices, event‑driven architecture, SOLID)
• Frontend integration:
  React, Vue, or Angular
• Testing (Pytest), code reviews, CI/CD pipelines
• Git mastery and collaborative workflows
