Position OverviewThe successful applicant will work with the Business Development channel and sales and marketing teams to implement the sales strategy that will deliver on our strategic goals and objectives. The focus will be on identifying, generating and managing new business opportunities, obtained through lead generation, relationship building, and strategic partnerships. Candidate will be located in Johannesburg or Pretoria and prepared to work in a Hybrid model.
Responsibilities- Provide input to the regional sales strategy;
- Provide input to the sales plans;
- Provide input into sales budgets.
- Identify and develop new business and sales according to sales plan.
- Manage and drive new sales opportunities through the sales process.
- Provide customer and market information to the product and marketing teams;
- Maintain market, technology and customer knowledge;
- Contribute to marketing management through occasional contributions to industry blogs, newsletters and forums;
- Participate in marketing activities such as conferences and exhibitions;
- Meet agreed KRA’s across sales figures, customer relationships, new customers and new markets / partnership development.
- Assist with interviews and help mentor sales team members.
- Provide input into sales tools, systems and processes.
- Build and maintain a minimum of three times (3x) target coverage in your sales pipeline.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of sales forecasts, deal value, billing dates and other admin requirements as determined by the Head Business Development.
- Build and maintain professional and effective relationships with colleagues across the business as well as customers and their representatives.
Experience as a sales executive in a bank, Fin Tech or payments organization is required.

Education and Experience- BCom;
Bachelor of Business Administration; or National Diploma in Sales and Marketing. - Minimum 5 years, maximum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Must have demonstrable experience in selling In-Person Payment solutions.
- A network of industry relationships is desirable.
