Overview

An exciting opportunity exists at Medipost Pharmacy for a Cashier in the Walk-In Centre Pharmacy. This position is based in Gezina (Pretoria).

• Strong work ethic and maintain a high level of accuracy
• Accurately process sales on the POS system
• Ensure prices and quantities are accurate and providing a receipt for each sale
• Handle complete money properly and record all transactions accurately
• Accurately process refunds and/or exchange items
• Accurately balance the cash register during daily cash-ups
• Bagging or wrapping purchases to ensure safe transport
• Provide basic information to customers on products, promotions and/or item location in the WIC
• High level of energy and customer service orientated
• Handle customer complaints and escalate to management
• Accurately take inventory, maintain stock levels and stock shelves with products
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
• Adherence to good housekeeping practises
• Constant communication with dispensary and floor staff to address expectations, requirements and compliance

• Good collaboration with colleagues and management (internal customers)
• Problems are identified and escalated through relevant channels
• Meet and exceed customer expectations
• Accurately complete checklists and document control sheets where applicable as per the relevant SOPs
• Submit documentation to responsible individual (if and when applicable)
• Manage own time & attendance according to company policies
• Adherence to company policies and SOPs
• Self-initiative and willingness to constantly exceed expectations
• Self-motivated
• Maintain good relationships towards departments and the Group at large
• Willingness to work overtime

• Operational reporting to Admin Manager regarding work in progress
• All reporting to be timeous and accurate within agreed timelines
• Corrective actions taken as a result of identified deviations and service level failures

• Grade 12 with Pure Maths and Physical/Life Sciences

• 1 – 2 year experience as a Cashier
• Data-entry capabilities
• Basic Quantitative abilities
• Basic Microsoft Office
• Good interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Organised and tidy
• Work ethic
