Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 07:30 – 16:30
Employment Type: Permanent - Office-based
Location: Garsfontein Road, Pretoria East (towards Grootfontein)

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet defined quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting vehicles and fabricated components, monitoring production and assembly processes, identifying non-conformances, and reporting quality issues. The incumbent will work closely with production teams, management, and external stakeholders to maintain product quality, support continuous improvement, and reduce defects and rework.

Minimum requirements:
  • 3+ years’ experience in a quality inspection or quality control role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Sound decision-making ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experienced Microsoft Office user (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to effectively interact with managers, supervisors, peers, customers, and suppliers
Duties will be, but are not limited to:
  • Inspect vehicles and fabricated components using industry-appropriate inspection methods
  • Compare products against standards, drawings, and specifications
  • Measure dimensions and examine functionality using gauges, calipers, and micrometers
  • Ensure assembly and production processes comply with quality standards and procedures
  • Review engineering drawings, standard operating procedures, and specifications
  • Record inspection results, complete reports, and capture data in quality databases
  • Identify, document, and report non-conformances, defects, reworks, and wastage
  • Assist in determining root causes of product defects and reworks
  • Propose improvements to production and quality control processes
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure safety and compliance with requirements
  • Verify that all measurement and inspection equipment is correctly calibrated
  • Maintain accuracy of measuring equipment and report repair requirements
  • Assist in developing inspection plans and test methods
  • Train and support production teams on quality control measures
  • Highlight quality risks and issues to management
  • Develop and maintain performance and quality measures
  • Participate in ongoing training to keep technical knowledge up to date
