SAP Functional Consultant; Senior

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled SAP Functional Consultant (Senior) to support global financial planning and reporting solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This role focuses on SAP BW/4

HANA data modelling, integration, and analytics to enable accurate internal financial steering based on Actual, Plan, and Target values for Budget and Investment.

The successful candidate will work within an Agile, international team, translating business requirements into scalable data models and reporting solutions while ensuring high data quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop SAP BW/4
  
  HANA data models (ADSOs, Info Cubes, Composite Providers)
• Implement complex data modelling using Unions and Joins
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading across SAP systems
• Build and optimize BW queries on complex data models
• Deliver live reporting solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• Gather and analyse business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications
• Develop planning models for international production environments
• Troubleshoot complex data issues and ensure data integrity and performance
• Support and mentor junior team members
• Ensure effective data integration, including data flows between SAC and BW
• Contribute to Agile team deliverables in line with the Agile Working Model

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10+ years of SAP BW experience
• Strong expertise in SAP BW/4
  
  HANA modelling (ADSOs, Composite Providers, Info Cubes)
• Advanced knowledge of data modelling concepts, including joins and unions
• Experience developing and optimizing ETL processes
• Strong experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reporting
• Proficiency in Eclipse-based BW development tools
• Solid understanding of FI/CO data and financial processes
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex data and system issues
• Experience working in international teams
• Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Advantageous Skills

• Accounting degree or financial certification
• Experience with SAP Datasphere
• SAC Planning experience
• Technical knowledge of ABAP or Java
• German language skills
