Business Intelligence; BI Quality Analyst

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Quality Analyst to join a 12-month project supporting BI initiatives. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and performance of BI dashboards, reports, data pipelines, and underlying systems, including data integration processes, data marts, and reporting platforms.

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in BI testing or data quality validation
• Relevant BI or Data Testing certifications, such as:
• Microsoft Data Analyst Associate (Power BI)
• SQL Server Database Development or Administration
• Certified Agile Tester
• Strong expertise in:
• ETL development and data integration
• Data quality assessment and validation
• T-SQL (minimum 3 years) for query development, test scripts, and data validation
• SSIS (minimum 3 years) for ETL and data transformation testing
• Power BI dashboard and report validation (minimum 4 years)
• Data Mart testing, including schema validation and data accuracy (minimum 2 years)

• Design and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes, data pipelines, data marts, and reporting platforms
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between source systems and BI targets
• Conduct functional, integration, system, regression, and performance testing on BI solutions
• Identify, document, and track data quality issues and defects through to resolution
• Validate that business logic in reports, dashboards, and analytics aligns with requirements

• Work closely with BI developers, report developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and expected outcomes
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Maintain detailed testing documentation, including test cases, results, defect logs, and sign-off reports
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and end-user validation when required

• Microsoft SQL Server – T-SQL for querying and test script creation
• SSIS – for ETL workflow and data transformation testing
• Power BI – for dashboard verification and report logic validation
• Data Marts – for schema checks and data consistency testing

• Provide regular testing updates, risk assessments, and defect summaries to the project team
• Participate in project meetings, testing reviews, and contribute to delivery readiness and timelines
