Senior Manager: HR Operations
IntroductionThe position of Senior Manager: HR Operations is vacant. The Senior Manager HR Operations will report directly to the Chief Corporate Services Officer. The position is based in Pretoria and is a permanent position for employment.
The total remuneration package is between R and R CTC per annum, this will be based on qualifications and experience.
The Senior Manager HR Operations will lead the HR operations division and oversee day-to-day HR activities across the organization. Key responsibilities include managing compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, diversity programs, HR systems, and regulatory compliance. The Senior Manager will partner with leadership to optimize HR services and programs that attract, retain and engage top talent.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Manager HR Operations will support the Chief Corporate Service Officer through the implementation of the following Key Performance areas:
- Lead the HR Operations division and oversee all day-to-day HR Operations. Implement best practices and ensure HR operational services across the organization. Develop and enforce HR Policies and procedures.
- Manage the total rewards program including compensation, benefits, rewards and recognitions.
- Conduct salary benchmarking, analyse market trends, and structure competitive pay bands. Partner with leadership on rewards strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Lead Employee Relations strategy and oversee collective bargaining agreements.
- Mediate disputes and conflicts to maintain a healthy workplace.
- Develop an effective recruitment strategy to acquire top talent.
- Manage the recruitment process for executive and leadership roles.
- Establish HR Metrics and reporting to demonstrative impact of HR programs.
- Develop, prepare and manage reporting for Board Committee, Executive Team and various stakeholders.
- Lead adoption of self-service tools and technologies to optimize HR Service delivery.
- Enhance onboarding and off boarding programs for a positive hire to retire experience. Collaborate with our employee wellness team to develop engaging interventions and activities that promote health and wellbeing.
- Drive Employment equity and transformation initiatives.
- Develop and execute the EE Plan to meet diversity and inclusion goals.
- HR Systems, analytics and reporting to support data-driven decisions.
- Partner with internal communications to support HR goals.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance for all HR policies and activities.
- Lead ethics and corporate governance initiatives as they relate the HR.
- Build partnerships with stakeholders to foster positive employee relations.
Qualification requirements are:
- Minimum a 3-year Degree/ BTech, Bachelors, Advance Diploma (NQF level
7) in Human Resources/Industrial Psychology or similar. - A related postgraduate qualification will be beneficial.
- Must have previous remuneration and benefits experience.
- Minimum 5 – 8 years’ work experience; 5 of which must be at a management level. At least 3 years’ experience with SAGE 300 or a similar payroll system.
- Demonstrates integrity by modelling the Scheme’s values and ethical standards.
- Advocates and promotes the vision, mission and strategic objectives of GEMS Displays cultural, gender, race and age sensitivity as well as adaptability.
- Be organised and have good time management skills.
- Be analytical and have the ability to analyse and interpret remuneration data.
- Ability to work under pressure and to effectively handle multiple tasks without compromising quality, team spirit positive working relationships.
