Student Recruitment and Retention Advisor(s)
SANTS is an accredited Private Higher Education Institution focused on initial teacher training and continued professional teacher development through a distance mode of delivery. SANTS seeks to appoint 4 suitable candidates as Student Recruitment and Retention Advisors within our Student Support Department.
Role: The Student Recruitment and Retention Advisor is responsible for supporting the SSD leadership team in (1) driving early conversion of accepted applicants, (2) retention of financially at-risk students, and (3) recovery of financially suspended students. This is a target driven role and remuneration is made up of a basic and commission structure.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications- Responsible for meeting individual conversion target for accepted students in the student recruitment funnel
- Responsible for meeting individual targets of the retention financially at risk and reactivation of financially suspended students
- Support the Team Lead Student Recruitment and Senior Student Recruitment and Retention Advisor in meeting semesterly recruitment and retention targets
- Take individual responsibility for meeting allocated recruitment and retention targets per SANTS programme for each semester
- Gain general product knowledge of all SSD activities including applications, assessments, graduations, enrolments, workplace integrated learning, etc.
- Attending to and resolving of student inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally during student recruitment off peak periods.
- Support the Team Lead Student Recruitment and Senior Student Recruitment and Retention Advisor in the identification of student pain-points in the conversion and retention process.
- Support the Team Lead Student Recruitment and Senior Student Recruitment and Retention Advisor in the conceptualisation of the conversion and retention strategy and tactics
- Assist students to navigate different student engagement platforms including the Student Information System (SIS) and the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Attend to enquiries that come through the telephony systems (inbound and outbound calls) during student recruitment off peak periods.
- Attend to student applications on the student applications platform as allocated by the SSD Recruitment Team Lead.
- Build product knowledge of all SANTS programmes including degrees, short courses, etc.
- Understand student fees statement and statuses.
- Support the SSD Applications team lead in administering the student enrolment process as and when necessary.
- Involvement in graduation process including preparations and participation in all graduation related activities as and when needed.
- Attend to different student administration activities as allocated by the different SSD team leaders.
- Matric or NQF Level 4 Diploma in Business Management, or Customer Service or Marketing. Undergraduate degree is preferable.
- Three years' experience in student administration, support and recruitment with specific focus on sales and retention.
- Trackable experience in a customer service environment.
- Experience in using a CRM system to manage student recruitment pipeline.
- Proficiency and eloquence in English and more than two indigenous languages.
- Entry level MS Excel skills.
- Ambitious high performer.
Remuneration: Remuneration is subject to experience and qualifications.
