GSE Porter – Menlyn Mix s & Hotel Suites

Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests to the property and assisting guests with their luggage on arrival as well as assisting departing guests with same. You will ensure that the highest standards of hospitality and welcome are demonstrated at all times, and that all guest requests are dealt with in a prompt and courteous manner.

In addition to assisting guests with luggage, Porters are also responsible for the collection & delivery of goods and messages, providing guests with directions and information as well as assisting with any other occasional tasks assigned. Porters will also ensure that the reception area is always clean, tidy and is properly supplied.

• Excellent communication skills
• Be physically fit & be able to lift & cart heavy objects
• To be present at the Reception area & be ready to assist guests, colleagues and visitors when requested
• Ensure collection and delivery of guest luggage and equipment in an efficient and timely manner.
• Transport departing guests luggage from the room to the lobby
• Previous experience will be an advantage
• Ability to work under pressure
• Friendly, approachable with some form of client experience
• Be a good team player and Flexibility to work shifts
• Be physically fit & able to lift & carry heavy objects & be on their feet for long hours.
