Salary: Up to R50,000 per month (depending on experience)

Overview Our client, a well-established professional services firm based in Waterkloof, is seeking a confident and experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage their tax department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing tax compliance, managing the tax team, and ensuring adherence to relevant tax legislation. This role is well suited to a hands-on professional with both accounting and tax experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Tax Department
• Review and submit all tax returns, including income tax, VAT, PAYE, and provisional tax
• Ensure compliance with current tax legislation and statutory deadlines
• Manage and respond to SARS queries, audits, and disputes
• Provide tax advice and support to clients and internal teams
• Supervise, mentor, and manage tax staff to ensure high-quality output
• Assist with tax planning and structuring where required
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Tax, or a related field is6 desirable
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Accounting and Tax
• Proven experience managing or overseeing a tax department or function
• Strong working knowledge of South African tax legislation
• Experience dealing directly with SARS
• Proficiency in relevant accounting and tax software
