Areas of Responsibilities
1. Engineering Design & Planning
- Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Support the design of infrastructure projects including roads, drainage systems, foundations, and utilities.
- Use engineering software to develop and review plans and calculations.
- Perform basic engineering calculations and analysis.
2. Project Support
- Assist project managers and senior engineers in project planning and scheduling.
- Support the preparation of project documentation, budgets, and work plans.
- Help coordinate project activities with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
3. Site Inspections & Monitoring
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and quality.
- Ensure work on site complies with approved drawings and specifications.
- Identify potential engineering or safety issues and report them to senior engineers.
- Assist with materials testing and quality control processes.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and engineering documentation.
- Maintain accurate project records, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in preparing tender documents and technical submissions.
5. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
- Promote safe work practices on project sites.
- Support environmental and regulatory compliance activities.
6. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including architects, surveyors, and contractors.
- Participate in project meetings and technical discussions.
- Provide technical support to internal teams when required. Education & Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional registration with a recognized engineering body is an advantage (or working towards registration).
Knowledge of civil engineering principles, design practices, and construction methods.
Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Good communication, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
0–3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
Internship or graduate training experience in construction or infrastructure projects is preferred.
