This is a full-time role for a Geotechnical or Tailings Engineer, located in Pretoria, South Africa. The Engineer will be responsible for conducting geotechnical investigations, designing and analyzing tailings storage facilities, preparing technical reports, and monitoring construction projects. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines. The role involves contributing innovative problem‑solving approaches to deliver efficient and sustainable engineering solutions.

• Proficiency in geotechnical investigations, laboratory testing, and data interpretation.
• Experience with tailings facility design, stability analysis, and construction monitoring.
• Knowledge of engineering software tools and applications related to geotechnical or tailings engineering.
• Strong skills in technical reporting, project management, and stakeholder communication.
• Understanding of field work safety measures and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred).
• Professional registration or the ability to achieve registration within a reasonable timeframe.
• Prior experience in geotechnical/tailings engineering or related projects is an advantage.
