Millwrights and Mechatronics
Technicians to join their modern, fast-paced production team. You’ll focus on electrical fault-finding, PLC diagnostics, and mechatronic systems across high-speed bakery production lines. Work alongside a supportive, growing community of South African technicians already thriving in the Netherlands.
We provide full relocation support, including visa sponsorship, initial co-living accommodation, Dutch integration, and more.
Duties & Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, with a strong emphasis on electrical systems
- Diagnose and repair faults in PLC-controlled production lines
- Conduct electrical inspections, panel testing, and sensor calibration
- Troubleshoot motors, drives, frequency inverters, and control circuits
- Work on electromechanical and mechatronic systems within automated bakery machinery
- Test and commission machinery, control cabinets, and installations
- Analyse root causes of electrical breakdowns and implement long-term improvements
- Support continuous improvement and automation optimisation projects
- Guide operators in correct machine handling to minimise electrical faults
- Ensure compliance with Dutch safety regulations and maintenance standards
- Completed Red Seal Millwright trade certificate
- Strong electrical background (essential)
- Qualification or experience in Mechatronics highly advantageous
- 0–5 years’ professional experience preferred
- Experience with PLC fault-finding (Siemens / Allen Bradley) advantageous
- Experience with automated production lines and electromechanical systems
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands (relocation fully supported)
- Available for a 2-2-1 rotation (38h/week): a pattern of 2 mornings, 2 afternoons, and 1 night, with multiple days off between rotations.
- Strong electrical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a structured technical team
- Commitment to learning Dutch (language course provided)
- Driver’s license required
