Draughtsman

Monday – Friday 07:00 – 17:00
Office based position
6 months contract

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsperson to join a dynamic team at our client, they fall under Consulting Engineers in Pretoria area. As a Draughtsperson, you will play a crucial role in creating technical drawings for a range of projects. Your precision and expertise will contribute to the successful realization of our clients' visions.

Minimum Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant experience as a Draughtsperson working with structures
• Diploma or degree in Drafting or a related field would be beneficial but not a must
• Detailing bridges and culverts experience would be highly beneficial
• Advanced proficiency in Revit, Civil3D, and AutoCAD
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Basic report writing skills
• Strong technical drawing skills with keen attention to detail
• Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
• Proactive and problem-solving mindset
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities

Duties will be, but are not limited to:

• Prepare detailed drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Convert rough sketches and specifications into precise, accurate, and detailed drawings
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and objectives
• Review and modify drawings to correct errors or discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the project team to meet deadlines and milestones
• Maintain accurate documentation of drawings and design changes
• Continuously improve drafting techniques and stay updated with industry trends and advancements
