Relocation & Licensing Timeline
To prevent unnecessary delays, candidates are strongly encouraged to begin the Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) process as early as possible — ideally even if the employment offer and/or examination stages are still being finalised.
Early initiation of PR ensures smoother relocation once provisional registration is approved, as processing timelines are extensive.
Visa-based entry is not advised due to regulatory limitations and extended processing timelines.
The Permanent Residency (PR) pathway is strongly recommended for long-term practice stability.

Initiation of PR and CPSA licensing applications
Completion of two qualifying medical examinations in South Africa
