Procurement of stock for Kawari Wholesalers and Medipost pharmacy from relevant suppliers according to ordering cycles determined by the procurement manager.
1. Stock Procurement and Management.- Procurement conducted according to written SOPs, company policies and comply with GWP and GPP.
- Procurement 95% availability in the group on picking level. Measurement according to availability report.
- Placing of main orders by 08:00 the day the new supplier account open, and top-up orders 14 days after this date.
- Negative stock report management.
- Where stock is not available: ensure OOS letter/discontinuation letter available on M-drive.
- Stock take preparations and accurate stock take count of below 0.2% error rate on counting sheets.
- OTC List stock availability actioned as needed.
- Orders placed immediately on instruction from line manager.
- Prepare and raise purchase orders for chronic, special meds and oncology department.
- Creating of new barcodes on the Medipost App System.
- Block/Unblock stock items when items are out of stock or back in stock.
- Act as an intermediary between other relevant departments on purchasing processes.
- Ensure outstanding orders are followed up continuously.
- Ensure buy-outs from alternate wholesalers are done whenever there is no stock or a delivery will be late.
- Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
- Place purchase orders for the items required in the to-follow area (SBO).
- Good collaboration with colleagues and management (internal customers) and suppliers (external customers).

- Problems identified and escalated through relevant channels.
- Meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
- Liaise with order processing and receiving regarding the timelines for the arrival of stock.
- Advise other departments in the group, such as customer care and order processing on generic substitution.
- Ensure no stock is kept on the floor in the procurement office.
- Keep the office neat and tidy.
- Follow good housekeeping in accordance with GWP and GPP.
- Complete all ad hoc tasks that are given ensuring that it is completed in the time requirement that was given.
- Assist with stock take and stock take preparation.
- 2-3 years' buying experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Procurement Diploma/Degree.
- Registered with SAPC within the Wholesale environment.
- Soft Skills (conflict management, time management).
- Customer service orientation (internal customers).
- Able to work under pressure.
- Deadline oriented.
- Highly reliable.
- Collaboration with other confidentiality.
- Team player.
- Organised and tiny.
