Job Title: Procurement - Buyer
Location: Silverton , Gauteng
Salary: Market related - Dependent on experience and qualification(s)

Requirements:

• Matric/Grade 12
• Proficiency in Microsoft packages essential (Word, Excel, email)
• Related qualification (certificate/diploma) beneficial

Duties and responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery.
• Negotiate favorable terms and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with business needs.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Analyse costs and implement cost-saving opportunities within budget constraints.
• Ensure compliance with laws, company policies, ethical sourcing, and sustainability goals.
• Monitor and assess supplier performance, addressing issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate records and generate procurement reports.
• Continuously improve procurement processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and pursue professional development.
