Purpose Of The Job:
Our Client is looking for an experienced Passenger Vehicle Stock Controller, to join their busy Team. The Passenger Vehicle Stock Controller is responsible for the effective management, control, and reconciliation of all new and used passenger vehicle stock. This role is critical in ensuring accurate stock records, compliance with OEM and internal procedures, and smooth coordination between Sales, Finance, and Logistics departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Stock Management
- Maintain accurate records of all new and used passenger vehicle stock
- Ensure all vehicles are correctly receipted, stocked, and costed on the dealer management system
- Monitor vehicle movements between locations, workshops, and dealerships
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile variances
- Ensure all vehicle documentation is complete, accurate, and filed correctly
- Manage vehicle registration papers, license discs, and delivery notes
- Ensure compliance with OEM, internal audit, and financial control requirements
- Prepare documentation for audits and management reporting
- Liaise closely with Sales, Finance, and Admin departments to ensure smooth vehicle deliveries
- Release vehicles only once all financial and compliance requirements are met
- Assist with invoicing, cost checks, and margin accuracy
- Monitor aged stock and report concerns to management
- Coordinate vehicle deliveries, transfers, and collections
- Track vehicles in transit and follow up on delays or discrepancies
- Ensure vehicles are ready for handover within agreed timelines
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Passenger Vehicle Stock Controller within a dealership environment
- Strong understanding of dealer management systems (e.g. Kerridge, Autoline, Automate, etc.)
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Motor Industry experience ESSENTIAL!
- Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
- Excellent planning and time management
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
- Proactive problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
