Overview
The position of Coordinator:
Tariffs and Billing Rules is vacant. The Coordinator:
Tariffs and Billing Rules will report directly to the Senior Manager:
Tariffs and Billing Rules and form part of the Healthcare Management Division. The position is based at GEMS Head Office in Pretoria.
The total remuneration package is R 477 379 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities- Perform administration and secretarial duties for the T&BR business unit
- Liaise with the T&BR team, the rest of HM team, Scheme divisions and SPNs to ensure adherence to deadlines
- Coordinate and track T&BR business unit activities and projects and provide regular update on report progress
- Coordinate T&BR meetings, forums and workshops
- Ensure that all the T&BR daily operations are run smoothly
- Coordinate, attend and participate in all relevant meetings and forums
- Coordinate the relevant subscriptions e.g. SAMA, PHISC, professional bodies, etc
- Ensure that all the T&BR documents are saved appropriately on the official GEMS platforms (e.g. Teams, SharePoint, One-drive, etc)
- Coordinate T&BR business unit leave register
- Manage T&BR business unit calendar
- Ensure T&BR compliance with GEMS policies and procedures
- Conduct and manage regular T&BR team meetings
- Support the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a seamless integration into the team
- Ensure all submissions to SM: T&BR comply with standard requirements
- Minimum two (2) year qualification in Administration or Secretarial Studies, or equivalent NQF Level
- A diploma/degree in Healthcare Sciences or a related field will be advantageous
- Basic understanding of tariff coding and billing rules
- Project Management experience or qualification will be an added advantage
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in an administrative position
- Experience with in a Medical Scheme/ Healthcare Sciences environment is required
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent written English and the ability to communicate at all levels
