Experience:

At least 10 years of experience as a bookkeeper, preferably with Patel Partner

• B.Com,
  
  B.Compt, or
  
  B.Tech in Accounting
• Completed SAIPA articles
• SAIPA qualification and membership in good standing

We are seeking an experienced SAIPA-qualified Bookkeeper to join our team in Brooklyn, Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Handle VAT calculations and submissions
• Manage payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
• Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow
• Assist with budget preparation and financial planning
• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation
• Ensure compliance with SAIPA regulations and reporting standards

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective time management and organizational abilities
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of South African tax laws and statutory regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quick Books, or Xero)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
