Job Overview

We’re looking for a dedicated HGV Recovery Driver to work nights only at PR2 6BL
depot. You must live within 25 miles or 1 hour travel from the depot.

Salary: Guaranteed minimum c. £33,862 for CE (HGV
1) licence, £30,490 for C (HGV
2) licence.

On Target Earnings: £41,000 for CE licence, £35,000 for C licence.

Shifts: Rolling roster, 18 days out of every 28, with two full weekends off. Standard shift 9 h 45 min incl. 45‑minute break, but may require up to 12 h incl. breaks.

• Deliver exceptional service by safely recovering vehicles and reassuring customers during breakdowns.
• Work independently across varied locations and conditions while remaining part of a supportive team.
• Solve problems on the spot using technical skills and a calm approach to handle a wide range of roadside situations.
• Stay solution‑focused and compliant with EU Regulations & WTD, representing The AA with professionalism and a drive to always “Push for Better.”

• Full Category C (HGV Class
  2) licence (CE licence accepted).
• Valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Comfortable using and adapting to new technology.
• Flexibility to work shift patterns including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
