EV Cargo are looking for multiple class 1 drivers to join our team in Samlesbury,on nights/days on various shifts including a Monday to Friday and a 4on 4off shift pattern/rota. Our drivers are one of the most important roles within EV Cargo, and as a fully qualified HGV driver, you will have the important role of delivering products to our customers whilst being safe and taking care of yourself on the road.

Minimum pay £14.76 per hour Maximum rate £20.00 per hour.

Daily Meal Allowance £5

• Various HGV/Class1 driving duties
• Store deliveries and cage work. Only applicable to certain roles. Can be discussed in detail upon pre-interview conversation.
• Accountable for understanding and adherence to the route provided
• Accountable for ensuring the correct load & paperwork is on board
• Responsible for ensuring the tractor & trailer unit are road legal
• Responsible for filling in the check sheets and reporting any defects to the Transport Office
• Responsible for informing the Depot of any delays on in their day
• Responsible for adhering to all Tachograph and working time law

• No more than 6 penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• You are a qualified LGV Driver CE with CPC and digital tacho card
• You understand Tachograph laws and rules and regulations of the road
• You have good geographic knowledge of UK roads
• You have experience driving articulated vehicles for a minimum of one year. We can review drivers with less experience but this will be on a case by case basis.
