HGV Class 1 Tanker Driver

About The Role

We are looking for HGV Class 1 drivers to work on a full-time basis for days on our waste water contracts operating throughout the North West, working from our site at Tarleton, close to Preston.

Driving a vacuum tanker, the role involves tankering various non-hazardous liquids from sites to disposal facilities across the North West of England. A phone will outline the navigation for the routes and jobs while working.

Location:

Tarleton, Preston

Hours:

50 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with a 30-minute unpaid break. Increased pay for overtime hours worked.

Salary: £15.00 per hour.

Overtime:
Paid at time and a quarter over standard hours and time and a half on weekends.

• Working on site, as part of a team
• Lone working in the vehicle in the cab
• Excellent time management
• Flexibility as start times could be between 04:00 and 06:00
• On-call 1 weekend in 6
• Daily vehicle checks

• HGV Class 1 driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
• Valid in-date CPC (desirable)
• Experience with tankers is desirable
• Full training will be provided
