Social Worker | Contextual Safeguarding | Preston & Surrounding Areas

Salary £36,363 - £40,778 per annum | Fixed Term, until August 2026 | Full-time, 37 hours per week |

Location:

Preston; travel required to Chorley, South Ribble & Skelmersdale.

About Us

Lancashire County Council Children’s Services is a progressive and innovative place to work, embracing relationship‑based practice, strengths‑based approaches, and the Family Safeguarding model of practice.

The Contextual Safeguarding Team works with young people aged 13 to 18 who are experiencing exploitation and/or harm outside of the home.

About the Role

The role involves building trusted relationships with teenage children, working within a multi‑agency team, assessing risk, and formulating plans to support young people’s needs.

About You
  • Recognised Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi‑agency team.
  • Prior experience working with children, young people, and their families.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
