Salary:
Circa £35,000 depending on experience and skills

What you’ll be doing :

Managing  monthly, quarterly and annual sustainability metrics reporting. This will include updating the sustainability dashboard

Liaising with a variety of stakeholders in order to update the sustainability dashboard, sustainability plan and other regular metrics

An advocate for sustainability in the business promoting  initiatives  and encouraging others to think about sustainability within their  own  roles

Supporting comms teams to promote awareness and education in sustainability across the organisation

A keen eye for detail whilst  managing  data and inputs from various sources

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

A keen interest in sustainability, social and environmental justice and a desire to make improvements. Being curious about where changes and enhancements could be made.

Degree qualification in science (or related topic) or demonstratable equivalent working experience

Confident  with data  management  and  analysis  in Microsoft Excel

Experience in  managing  a variety of stakeholders

Desirable:

Understanding of IT services

Affiliate level membership of ISEP (Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals) or equivalent

The IT Sustainability team:

The IT Sustainability Team is establishing how sustainability should be  managed  and promoted within IT at BAE Systems. Embracing our new IT Sustainability strategy, it is a developing area where an ability to be agile is important. This opportunity will get you involved with a variety of different projects and  initiatives  with stakeholders both internal and external to the business. This role will provide support to the IT Sustainability Senior  Manager , the wider Enterprise IT business and IT across BAE Systems.
