Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Preston
Salary: £43,000 + Annual Bonus + Company Benefits
Shift Pattern:
Monday – Friday (Double Days)
A well-established manufacturing business based in Preston is looking to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing engineering team.

The Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of production equipment across the site. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned electrical maintenance, helping to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing equipment
Respond to electrical breakdowns and faults quickly and effectively
Support continuous improvement and reliability projects across the site
Fault finding on PLC-controlled and automated machinery
Work closely with production teams to maximise machine availability
Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety procedures
About You:
Apprentice trained or qualified in Electrical Engineering (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills
Knowledge of PLC systems and automated machinery would be beneficial
Proactive approach with a strong focus on reliability and continuous improvement
