Shift: Flexible; may include weekends, holidays, on-call, or overtime

Job Summary:
The PSR serves as the first point of contact for patients, performing venipuncture and clinical specimen collection while providing exceptional patient care. The role requires creating a safe and professional environment, accurately handling specimens, verifying patient information, and maintaining detailed records. PSRs may work in physician offices, patient service centers, or multiple locations as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draw quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric patients, following established protocols.
• Verify patient demographics and tube labeling post-venipuncture.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company procedures.
• Uphold a professional and patient-focused environment.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection with confidence.
• Work independently and manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Travel to multiple locations as needed, with reliable transportation.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years phlebotomy experience required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible and available for variable schedules, including multiple locations.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.

Credentialing / Compliance Requirements:

• Drug Screen (NON-DOT)
• Vaccination review: MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Flu (as applicable)
• TB Quantiferon test (within 30 days)
• Color vision test
• Meningococcal vaccine (microbiology staff only)
• OSHA Respirator Questionnaire review and qualitative fit test for up to 2 masks

• Training location may vary based on trainer availability.
• Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated.
