Mountain Valley Community School has an opening for a Special Education Teacher, K-5, to work as part of our Special Education team. Are you a compassionate and dedicated educator committed to supporting students with diverse learning needs? We are seeking a qualified special education teacher to join our team at Mountain Valley Community School. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students and help them reach their full potential.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students with disabilities.
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student engagement, independence, and positive behavior.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure the successful inclusion and participation of students with special needs in the general education curriculum and classroom activities.
• Differentiate instruction, materials, and assessments to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, providing appropriate scaffolding and support as needed.
• Monitor student progress regularly through ongoing assessment and data collection, adjusting instructional strategies and interventions to address individual learning goals and objectives.
• Case management.
• We will consider Conditional certifications, if you haven't earned your full Professional certification.

• $2000 Differential for Certified Special Education Teachers.

If a newly hired teacher (to RSU 10) is professionally certified and chooses not to take courses their first year, they qualify for up to $2500 towards existing student loans.
