POSITION SUMMARY:The Housing Specialist is primarily responsible for ensuring that the Weatherization program as an Energy Auditor. Assists in meeting production goals.

The following experience and skill requirements are considered essential:
- 3-4 years of prior related experience in building construction field
- Estimating material costs
- Evaluating proposals
- Preparing bids
- Preparing requests for proposal
- Project Management
- Excellent written communication skills
- Verbal communication skills
- Listening skills
- Use Microsoft Office applications and other computer software as applicable to the position
- Communicate and present information
- Work with a diverse population
- Two years of post-secondary education in construction related field, or the equivalent in education and related work experience
- Must be certified as a Energy Auditor as soon as possible after hire.
- Must have valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record per the program, have reliable transportation, provide proof of insurance, and must be insurable under agency policy
- Must pass required background checks

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; sit and talk or hear, including on the telephone; and occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders, in order to inspect all areas of building systems, such as attics, cellars, and crawl spaces.
The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed in an office setting and in residential homes. May encounter risks associated with unsanitary and/or unsafe living conditions, for example, poor indoor air quality or unruly pets. Frequent local and long-distance travel required, sometimes in inclement weather.
