Position Type: Full-time / Seasonal (with year-round work potential)
Wage: $22.00–$30.00 per hour with higher wages available based on experience, certifications, and mechanical/welding skills.
Hours: Monday–Friday
- Landscaping Season:
Typically, around 40 hours per week; note, hours may vary due to weather conditions such as rain or extreme heat with occasional extended hours during peak periods. - Winter Season:
Hours vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call work during snow events
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Mechanic / Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves operating equipment in the field as well as maintaining and repairing landscaping and snow removal equipment throughout the year.
Responsibilities- Operate tractors for mowing and general landscaping duties during the landscaping season
- Operate snow plows, tractors, and snow removal equipment during the winter season
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and ensure safe operation
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair landscaping equipment, including but not limited to:
- Zero-turn mowers
- Weed whackers and small engines
- Trucks and trailers
- Maintain and repair winter equipment, including but not limited to:
- Snow plows
- Snow blowers
- Tractors and related attachments
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Complete basic fabrication and repairs as required
- Maintain service records and report major repair needs
- Experience operating tractors and landscaping/snow removal equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with small engines and basic truck/equipment maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Welding experience is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons if required
- Physically capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Heavy equipment, agricultural, or fleet maintenance experience
- Landscaping and/or snow removal background
