Overview
Fann Contracting, Inc., a trusted Prescott family-owned business for over 65 years, is seeking a proactive and hands-on IT Manager. This key position reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for overseeing all technology operations, including software systems, networks, field operations technology, mobile devices, computers, and other essential operating systems and equipment.
As IT Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting both field and office operations to ensure Fann Contracting runs smoothly and efficiently. This position works closely with end users and IT staff, both internal and external, to deliver technology solutions.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think creatively are essential, as organizational needs can change day to day. This role may require occasional work outside of standard normal office hours, as well as limited travel to remote job sites throughout Arizona.
Minimum Education , Experience And Training- Five (5) plus years of experience within Information Technology
- Five (5) plus years of experience in IT management, staff development, managing external supplier relations, budgeting and/or related field(s)
- Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and directly related work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, including networking, servers, operating systems (e.g., macOS, Microsoft, Linux, SQL, etc), database management, cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, VMware, etc), and cybersecurity frameworks and similar systems.
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage technical teams.
- Experience in performance management, conflict resolution, and fostering a collaborative work environment is essential
- Strong analytical skills, with the capability to evaluate complex technical challenges, identify root causes, and implement practical, scalable solutions
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot effectively
- Oversee the company’s entire IT structure and systems
- Lead, coach, and mentor IT staff
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the ethical handling of all sensitive data, protecting it from unauthorized access or disclosure, both internal and external. Safeguarding all corporate, HR, and confidential data, ensuring it is treated with the utmost discretion and in strict confidence
- Providing prompt and effective technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving issues to minimize operational disruptions
- Create and prioritize IT systems/equipment/deployment roadmap; develop strategy into clear outcomes and milestones
- Coordinate and lead projects and upgrades as applicable
- Creating, maintaining, and enforcing IT policies as approved by Executive Management and ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including data protection requirements
- Maintain supplier relationships and budgets
- Collaborate with departments on their needs and ways to improve ROI

This is a full-time, exempt position with standard work hours (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) in an office-based environment.
