Cardiovascular Section Chief

Dignity Health Medical Group is seeking a full-time Cardiovascular Department Chair to join our established and growing employed practice in Prescott, AZ.

• Conduct clinical, administrative and quality oversight of YRMG cardiology providers within the Department.
• Commit to clinical work as a 0.8 FTE and 0.2 administrative FTE.
• Establish standards and protocols for evidence-based cardiovascular medicine within the Department.
• Determine immediate, intermediate and long‑term goals for the Cardiology Department aligned with Department strategy.
• Conduct annual performance reviews of cardiology providers and support their professional development.
• Work with YRMG chief medical officer to continuously improve cardiovascular quality and patient experience.
• Model leadership traits to section chiefs and all practitioners within the Cardiology Department.
• Participate in leadership development programs provided by YRMG and Common Spirit Health.
• Build and lead highly effective cardiology teams.
• Participate in YRMG and medical staff committees and serve as a voting member of the Yavapai Regional Medical Group Leadership Council as required by the Chief Medical Officer.
• Commit to continuing medical education and professional development of cardiology providers within the Department.
• Promote cardiovascular medical education, including development of continuing medical education programs, curricula, and programmatic design for medical students, future GME programs, and APPs.

• Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship in cardiology from an ACGME‑approved program.
• Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiology).
• Valid state medical license as MD or DO.
• Valid DEA certificate.

The Department Chair is responsible for delivering outstanding patient care as well as administrative leadership and oversight for the department and clinical specialty subsections. The Department Chair will commit to clinical work as a 0.8 FTE and a 0.2 administrative FTE.
