Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective vascular access care to patients.
• Perform procedures such as peripheral intravenous (IV) catheter insertion, central venous catheter insertion, and US IV insertion.
• Assess patient needs and determine appropriate vascular access devices.
• Responsible for the insertion of PICC (peripherally inserted central catheters) and midlines.
• Coordinate services related to PICC lines and all CVAD (Central Venous Access Devices).
• Educate patients and families on vascular access care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Required:
• Minimum five (5) years experience as an acute care RN.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC) Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
