The Residential Program Manager has the responsibilities of case management and group home management functions. This position assists in the supervision of staff and clients ensuring a safe, trauma-informed environment. Essential

Functions
  • Develops, maintains, supervises, and evaluates a normative program that is safe and secure in which clients can learn cognitively, behaviorally, and emotionally.
  • Through interaction and observation of staff and clients, provides supervisions, role modeling, teaching, instruction, and support working directly with staff and clients.
  • Recommends and supports staff with creative, helpful tools for client’s management and program improvements.
  • Assures that schedules are followed and activities are conducted consistently.
  • Directs procedures to staff in times of crisis.
  • Responsible in assisting the hiring process with Human Resources (HR) for facility staff.
  • Ensures staff are current with all training and certifications needed for their position.
  • Documents general and specific performance of all Group Living Staff pertaining to the group home.
  • Provides additional review of paperwork that is generated to ensure documentation is complete, accurate, timely, and communicated to all vital departments.
  • Reviews and handles all clients’ grievances pertaining to their assigned facility.
  • Reviews, presents, records, and routes clients request to the Case Manager regarding privileges, rights, and treatment revisions.
  • Ensures that the monthly recreation calendar for clients is posted in a conspicuous area for all to see.
  • Responsible for communication with client’s teams to ensure timely updates are conducted regarding the client’s progress or regress.
  • Generates purchase orders for facility and facility supply needs.
Case Management
  • Orientate the clients to BHAZ expectations and complete intake packet.
  • Contact with teams within 24 hours of client intake.
  • Update client info in database on intake and throughout client’s stay at BHAZ.
  • Keep accurate documentation of Agency/Family interactions and maintain in chart and in database. (Including satisfaction surveys).
  • Provide and/or arrange transportation to current clients for court, home passes, etc., as needed.
  • Schedule needed physicals, TBs, dental, and medical appointments, as needed and communicate with team as well as coordinating transportation.
  • Appear in court as needed, telephonic or in person.
  • Act as a liaison for BHAZ and outside agencies
  • Assist Marketing/Admissions Department when needed.
  • Responsible for clinical charts (correct order, needed paperwork, audits of each chart, once per month and at least 2 RAC’s weekly, RAC updates and following up on outstanding items, etc.).
  • Schedule, coordinate and facilitate in AFT meetings and facilitate clients staffing (service plans, signature pages, and notes).
  • Compile 30-day reports for each client and review for accuracy and completeness.
  • Send information as requested by current team members in accordance with ROI.
  • Assist clients in preparing for discharge in conjunction with agency guidelines.
  • Check voicemail and emails daily and follow up within one business day.
  • Notify teams of incidents during normal business hours.
  • Obtain written guardian consent for out of county trips, haircuts, piercings, etc.
  • Communicate discharges externally with teams and internally with finance, psychiatrist, admissions, directors’ teams and RN.
  • Participate in required meetings and trainings including GENOPS.
  • Ensures all authorizations are completed, current and in file as well as communicated to appropriate departments.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
