Position
Purpose:
Repair and Tool Technicians are responsible for evaluating and repairing small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. They make equipment recommendations and ensure units are maintained. Technicians work in stores with Tool Rental Centers and in repair centers. In stores, they provide service to customers, including writing contracts and invoices for equipment rental and repairs, checking tool operation, and demonstrating proper use as needed.
They also manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment in the tool rental department. Off-site, technicians ensure units are repaired, tested, cleaned, and returned to the originating store. They must have thorough tool knowledge and effectively manage the tool inventory, maintaining and repairing tools as necessary.
