This contract position is based in a well-equipped healthcare facility in Prattville, Alabama, offering a dynamic environment for experienced OR nurses to apply their expertise in various surgical specialties.

Candidates should bring strong proficiency in circulating within surgery, covering a wide range of cases including General, Trauma (excluding burns), Orthopedic spine and total joint procedures, Neuro, ENT, Vascular (including Endovascular), Gynecology, Urology, Robotics for General and Neuro, Plastics, Breast, and Eye surgeries.

Experience with robotic surgical systems such as Mazor or DaVinci XI is preferred. A minimum of two years' nursing experience is required, and first-time travelers are welcome if they meet this requirement.

Key Qualifications and

Certifications:

• Registered Nurse licensure with demonstrated OR circulation skills
• Proficient in trauma, neuro, orthopedic, vascular, ENT, and robotic surgeries
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios of 1:1 and working with a diverse patient population
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors

Responsibilities include circulating for various specialty surgeries, collaborating closely with OR assistants, charge nurses, and team leaders. Orientation consists of two weeks on day shift with buddy call duties.

Schedule highlights feature 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend coverage generally from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM Friday through Sunday. On-call rotation includes one weekday and one weekend per month, requiring a 30-minute response time. A holiday shift commitment is part of the contract.
