Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift | Travel Nurse – Pratt, KS

Med/Surg RN travel assignment in Pratt, KS (13 weeks) — nights, 3x12s. Join a community hospital team; BLS required, IV/telemetry experience preferred. Apply now for this Kansas nursing job.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or compact state
• Minimum 1 year recent Med/Surg experience required (2 years preferred)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Confidence with IV starts, medication administration, and telemetry monitoring
• Charge experience, ortho (total hips and knees), and rural health experience a plus
• First-time travel nurses and local candidates are welcome
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Completion of orientation and required modules prior to start date

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics on a Med/Surg unit
• Manage medical and surgical patients including post-op joint replacements and general surgery cases
• Start and maintain IVs, administer medications, monitor telemetry, and manage patient assessments
• Perform wound care and manage feeding tubes, ports, and surgical drains
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams — PT, RT, pharmacy, physicians, and case management
• Float to ER, ICU, and LDRP to support hospital operations as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to infection control protocols, and support quality improvement initiatives
