Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule

• Weekday shifts with some weekend coverage required

• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Float to ER, ICU, and LDRP as needed

• Care for medical surgical, orthopedic, and general surgery patients

• Provide post-operative care for joint replacement patients and general medical patients

• Treat patients of all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

• Daily census of approximately 12 patients with 20 rooms and 23 beds

• TRUBRIDGE (formerly CPSI) EMR experience required by director

• 2 years of nursing experience required

• Kansas state license or compact license required at submission

• BCLS certification required, ACLS preferred

• IV start skills, telemetry experience, and charge experience required

• Orthopedic experience with total hips and knees a plus

• Rural health experience preferred

• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted

• Skills include blood product administration, central line blood draws, PICC line management, wound care, isolation precautions, and total joint replacement care

• One reference required for submission

• Average 1 hour of pre-start modules completed in Work Ramp

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

This regional medical center serves as a community hospital providing comprehensive medical and surgical services to the local population. The facility features 23 beds across 20 rooms and maintains a daily census of approximately 12 patients. The hospital offers interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. As a smaller rural hospital, it provides personalized patient care while maintaining modern medical capabilities for various surgical and medical conditions.
