Job Details:

• Work in Med/Surg ICU with drips, vents, bipaps and occasionally arterial or CVP monitoring

• Maintain patient ratio of typically 1 nurse to 2 patients

• At least 1 year of experience required

• Kansas nursing license or compact license required at time of submission

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• All RTO must be available at time of submission

• ICU may hold medical overflow non-ICU patients at times

• Care for patients of all age groups: adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Work in 6-bed ICU unit

• May float to different units as needed

• One reference required for submission

• Complete approximately 1 hour of non-billable modules pre-start

• Previous charge experience preferred

• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions

• Must be proficient in medical and surgical intensive care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, and various specialized procedures including arterial line management, ventilator care, and vasoactive drip titration

The hospital maintains interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
