Role DescriptionThe Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks is seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Senior Administrative Specialist to join our Ecological Services Division at the Pratt Operations Office. This position provides high‑level administrative and operational support to division leadership and statewide conservation programs.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys managing complex administrative processes, and wants their work to directly support conservation and wildlife programs across Kansas.

- Provide advanced administrative support, including processing vouchers, coordinating travel, ordering supplies and equipment, and managing incoming calls and emails.
- Create, maintain, and track detailed spreadsheets for division budgets, grants, and expenditures.
- Support the Wild Trust program, including managing donations, assigning funds, sending tax receipts, and coordinating with program leadership. Elijah
- Perform advanced duties within the Statewide Management, Accounting, and Reporting Tool (SMART) and other computerized systems.
- Provide administrative support for programs such as Chickadee Checkoff, Aquatic Species Recovery, and other Ecological Services initiatives.
- Opportunities may be available to assist biologists with wildlife surveys and field‑related work.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least three years of experience in general office, clerical, or administrative support roles.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and databases preferred.
- Proficiency in word processing software; experience with PowerPoint and Adobe products preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.
- Hourly pay: $18.71 - $21.00 (based on experience)
