Shift leader, Restaurant​/Food Service

What you'll do

Are you looking to grow in a restaurant leadership role? Do you have a passion for ensuring shifts run smoothly and that guest service expectations are met? If so, this role is for you. Modern Market Eatery is a farm‑fresh eatery that serves awesome food in a fast‑paced, open kitchen setting, and we’re looking for experienced, enthusiastic Shift Leaders to join our team.

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side‑work tasks
• Continuously monitor food quality
• Perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of the shift
• Run the shift while ensuring all employees take their mandatory breaks at the proper times
• Work all stations as needed, recognizing where you are most required
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift‑leader experience required
• Exceptional communication skills
• Food‑handler and alcohol‑service training preferred
• Ability to coordinate own work and that of others
• Ability to multi‑task

• Paid hourly with eligibility for overtime in accordance with applicable laws
• Tip sharing participation (up to $2/hr additional pay, paid each pay period)
