Overview
The DC Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance on the building systems and assigned equipment. This includes performing projects and response maintenance duties on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and finish building trades. Shift: Wed–Fri 4:30pm–5:00am.
Responsibilities- Schedule and perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacing switches, ballasts and lamps in lighting fixtures, replacing motors, and conducting routine safety and equipment maintenance inspections.
- Perform plumbing maintenance and repairs, including fixing broken pipes, replacing pumps, valves, flush meters, and seals, unclogging lines, and conducting routine safety inspections.
- Schedule and perform minor maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and compressor systems.
- Perform routine maintenance on material handling equipment (conveyors, lift equipment, hoists, maintenance platforms, batteries, dock levelers); brief and control contracted maintenance support and conduct routine safety inspections.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on appliances (smoke detection systems, turnstile counters, metal detectors, intrusion alarm devices, security systems, kitchen equipment, shredders, time clocks); brief and control contracted maintenance support and have working knowledge of building suppression notification panels to support this maintenance.
- Coordinate and complete finishing building trades, including painting, floor repairs, wall and door repairs, and other carpentry projects.
- Install office furniture and cubicles.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Degree
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
